Dominant groups

Analysis of individual income levels in Glen Iris in 2021 compared to the City of Boroondara shows that there was a higher proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 28.5% of the population earned a high income, and 28.2% earned a low income, compared with 24.9% and 29.1% respectively for the City of Boroondara.

The major differences between Glen Iris's individual incomes and the City of Boroondara's individual incomes were:
