Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Whalan in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Machinery Operators And Drivers (362 people or 22.4%)
- Labourers (236 people or 14.6%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (232 people or 14.3%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 830 people in total or 51.3% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Lethbridge Park employed 23.5% in Machinery Operators And Drivers; 17.9% in Labourers; and 9.8% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Whalan and Lethbridge Park were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (14.3% compared to 9.8%)
