Dominant groups

Analysis of the year of arrival for the overseas born Languages of the Philippines speaking population of Blacktown City Council in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney shows that there was a larger proportion of people who arrived before 2010, and a smaller proportion of recent overseas arrivals (those who arrived between 2016 and 2021).

Overall, 69.9% of the overseas born Languages of the Philippines speaking population arrived before 2010, and 15.2% arrived during or after 2016, compared with 62.0% and 21.3% respectively for Greater Sydney.
