Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Blacktown Precinct in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (9,232 people or 15.3%)
  • Retail Trade (5,953 people or 9.9%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (5,337 people or 8.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 20,522 people in total or 34.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Marayong employed 14.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.2% in Retail Trade; and 10.8% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major difference between the jobs held by the population of Blacktown Precinct and Marayong was:
