Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Mount Druitt in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (460 males or 13.5%)
  • Manufacturing (367 males or 10.8%)
  • Retail Trade (364 males or 10.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,191 males in total or 35.0% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 7.3% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; 6.9% in Manufacturing; and 7.9% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Mount Druitt and Greater Sydney were:
