Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Mount Druitt in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (939 people or 15.5%)
  • Retail Trade (710 people or 11.7%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (625 people or 10.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,274 people in total or 37.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 13.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.8% in Retail Trade; and 5.1% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
