Dominant groups

Analysis of the language spoken at home by children aged 0 to 4 years in Blacktown City Council in 2021 compared to the total population in Blacktown City Council shows that there was a larger proportion of people who spoke English only, and a smaller proportion of those speaking a non-English language (either exclusively, or in addition to English).

Overall, 54.3% of children aged 0 to 4 years spoke English only, and 38.5% of% spoke a non-English language, compared with 47.6% and 46.3% respectively for the total population in Blacktown City Council.
