An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Bega Valley Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

- Retail Trade (977 females or 13.0%)
- Education and Training (906 females or 12.1%)
In combination, these three industries employed 3,764 females in total or 50.1% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, Regional NSW employed 26.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.3% in Retail Trade; and 13.9% in Education and Training.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Bega Valley Shire and Regional NSW were:
