Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Bega Valley Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (1,359 males or 18.2%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (694 males or 9.3%)
  • Manufacturing (657 males or 8.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,710 males in total or 36.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Tura Beach - Mirador and District employed 16.3% in Construction; 4.1% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 7.2% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Bega Valley Shire and Tura Beach - Mirador and District were:
