Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the people in low income households in Bayside Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Sales Workers (400 persons or 14.8%)
- Labourers (400 persons or 14.8%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (390 persons or 14.5%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,190 people in total or 44.1% of the employed people in low income households.
In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 13.4% in Sales Workers; 14.6% in Labourers; and 15.1% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by people in low income households of Bayside Council area and Greater Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Sales Workers (14.8% compared to 13.4%)
- A larger percentage of people employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (12.1% compared to 11.0%)
