Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Bayside Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (10,389 people or 12.2%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (8,489 people or 10.0%)
  • Retail Trade (7,971 people or 9.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 26,849 people in total or 31.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Sans Souci employed 12.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.8% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 9.4% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Bayside Council area and Sans Souci were:
