Dominant groups

In 2016, there were 1,024 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Brighton East, compared with 4,520 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).

Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in Brighton East in 2016, compared to City of Bayside, shows that 14.5% used public transport, while 64.1% used a private vehicle, compared with 16.3% and 61.0% respectively in City of Bayside.
