Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Hampton East in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (246 females or 19.3%)
  • Education and Training (179 females or 14.1%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (154 females or 12.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 579 females in total or 45.4% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Bayside employed 18.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.6% in Education and Training; and 13.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Hampton East and the City of Bayside were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in retail trade (11.4% compared to 10.3%)
