Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Hampton in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (1,134 people or 16.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (860 people or 12.4%)
  • Retail Trade (642 people or 9.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,636 people in total or 38.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Bayside employed 15.0% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 12.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.2% in Retail Trade.
