Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Highett in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (443 females or 21.0%)
  • Education and Training (306 females or 14.5%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (267 females or 12.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,016 females in total or 48.1% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Bayside employed 18.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.6% in Education and Training; and 13.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
