Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Hampton in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (647 females or 19.1%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (479 females or 14.1%)
  • Education and Training (423 females or 12.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,549 females in total or 45.6% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Bayside employed 18.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 13.6% in Education and Training.

The major difference between the jobs held by the female population of Hampton and the City of Bayside was:

  • A smaller percentage of females employed in education and training (12.5% compared to 13.6%)
