Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Cheltenham in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (188 females or 18.0%)
  • Education and Training (176 females or 16.8%)
  • Retail Trade (107 females or 10.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 471 females in total or 45.0% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Bayside employed 18.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 13.6% in Education and Training; and 10.3% in Retail Trade.
