Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Highett in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (329 males or 15.8%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (293 males or 14.1%)
  • Retail Trade (180 males or 8.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 802 males in total or 38.6% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Bayside employed 12.2% in Construction; 16.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 8.1% in Retail Trade.
