Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Hampton in 2021 compared to Hampton Activity Centre shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 37.4% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 7.8% were one-parent families, compared with 19.1% and 5.7% respectively for Hampton Activity Centre.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 24.3% compared to 38.1% in Hampton Activity Centre while the proportion of couples without children was 25.1% compared to 31.4% in Hampton Activity Centre.
