Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Greater Capital Cities in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (2,129,285 people or 26.5%)
- Managers (1,094,467 people or 13.6%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (1,063,703 people or 13.2%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 4,287,455 people in total or 53.3% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Victoria employed 25.0% in Professionals; 14.0% in Managers; and 12.4% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major difference between the jobs held by the population of Greater Capital Cities and Victoria was:
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Professionals (26.5% compared to 25.0%)
