Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Regional SA in 2016 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Managers (26,789 people or 16.8%)
- Labourers (25,046 people or 15.7%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (22,930 people or 14.3%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 74,765 people in total or 46.8% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Australian Capital Territory employed 15.9% in Managers; 5.0% in Labourers; and 9.6% in Technicians and Trades Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Regional SA and Australian Capital Territory were:
