Dominant groups
Analysis of female individual income levels in Western Australia in 2021 compared to Australia shows that there was a similar proportion of females earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income females (those earning less than $500 per week).
Overall, 7.9% of the female population earned a high income, and 37.7% earned a low income, compared with 8.2% and 36.8% respectively for Australia.
The major difference between Western Australia's female individual incomes and Australia's female individual incomes is:
- A larger percentage of females who earned Negative Income/ Nil income (10.8% compared to 10.0%)
