Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Margaret River in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (294 females or 16.0%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (289 females or 15.7%)
  • Retail Trade (260 females or 14.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 843 females in total or 45.9% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River employed 15.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.2% in Accommodation and Food Services; and 13.0% in Retail Trade.
