Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Shire of Ashburton in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Mining (373 females or 25.9%)
  • Education and Training (232 females or 16.1%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (143 females or 9.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 748 females in total or 52.0% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Regional WA employed 4.4% in Mining; 14.5% in Education and Training; and 20.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
