Dominant groups

Analysis of female individual income levels in the Shire of Ashburton in 2021 compared to Regional WA shows that there was a higher proportion of females earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income females (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 16.6% of the female population earned a high income, and 24.3% earned a low income, compared with 6.3% and 36.6% respectively for Regional WA.

The major differences between the Shire of Ashburton's female individual incomes and Regional WA's female individual incomes were:

  • A larger percentage of females who earned $2,000 - $2,999 (12.7% compared to 4.5%)
  • A smaller percentage of females who earned $400 - $499 (3.0% compared to 9.1%)
