Dominant groups
Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Adelaide Primary Health Network in 2021 compared to Greater Adelaide shows that 88.6% of the households owned at least one car, while 7.8% did not, compared with 88.9% and 7.5% respectively in Greater Adelaide.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a similar proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 36.6% of the households owned one car; 35.2% owned two cars; and 16.8% owned three cars or more, compared with 35.9%; 35.5% and 17.6% respectively for Greater Adelaide.
