Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the people in low income households in Albury City in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Labourers (242 persons or 21.5%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (215 persons or 19.1%)
- Sales Workers (144 persons or 12.8%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 601 people in total or 53.4% of the employed people in low income households.
In comparison, Regional NSW employed 20.0% in Labourers; 16.1% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 12.0% in Sales Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by people in low income households of Albury City and Regional NSW were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (19.1% compared to 16.1%)
- A larger percentage of people employed as Labourers (21.5% compared to 20.0%)
