Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in South East Overlay in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (627 females or 39.6%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (265 females or 16.7%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (213 females or 13.4%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,105 females in total or 69.8% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, the City of Adelaide employed 36.1% in Professionals; 15.9% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 17.4% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of South East Overlay and the City of Adelaide were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (39.6% compared to 36.1%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (13.4% compared to 17.4%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Sales Workers (6.8% compared to 8.4%)
