Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in CAD West in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (544 people or 28.2%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (354 people or 18.4%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (211 people or 11.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,109 people in total or 57.6% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Upper North Adelaide employed 40.3% in Professionals; 11.9% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 11.8% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of CAD West and Upper North Adelaide were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (18.4% compared to 11.9%)
