Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Upper North Adelaide in 2011 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (404 people or 17.9%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (292 people or 12.9%)
  • Education and Training (265 people or 11.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 961 people in total or 42.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Adelaide employed 15.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 10.2% in Education and Training.
