Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Upper North Adelaide in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (411 people or 18.2%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (305 people or 13.5%)
  • Education and Training (248 people or 11.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 964 people in total or 42.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Adelaide employed 15.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.0% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 9.7% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Upper North Adelaide and the City of Adelaide were:
