Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Lower North Adelaide in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (97 males or 15.2%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (78 males or 12.2%)
  • Education and Training (68 males or 10.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 243 males in total or 38.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Adelaide employed 16.0% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 10.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 7.8% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Lower North Adelaide and the City of Adelaide were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in education and training (10.7% compared to 7.8%)
