Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Lower North Adelaide in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (218 people or 17.2%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (157 people or 12.4%)
  • Education and Training (156 people or 12.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 531 people in total or 41.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, CAD West employed 12.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.6% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 6.9% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Lower North Adelaide and CAD West were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in education and training (12.3% compared to 6.9%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed in health care and social assistance (17.2% compared to 12.9%)
