Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in South West Overlay in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Accommodation and Food Services (363 people or 16.5%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (317 people or 14.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (302 people or 13.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 982 people in total or 44.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, CAD East employed 14.9% in Accommodation and Food Services; 15.6% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 13.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance.
