Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in South East Overlay in 2021 compared to the City of Adelaide shows that there was a similar proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 8.5% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 5.8% were one-parent families, compared with 8.0% and 4.5% respectively for the City of Adelaide.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children.
