Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Upper North Adelaide in 2021 compared to South West Corner shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a similar proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 13.8% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 5.3% were one-parent families, compared with 9.5% and 5.6% respectively for South West Corner.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 40.5% compared to 43.0% in South West Corner while the proportion of couples without children was 28.5% compared to 19.1% in South West Corner.
