Dominant groups

Analysis of the car ownership of the households in South West Corner in 2021 compared to the City of Adelaide shows that 62.7% of the households owned at least one car, while 30.4% did not, compared with 64.0% and 29.2% respectively in the City of Adelaide.

Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a similar proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.

Overall, 45.8% of the households owned one car; 16.0% owned two cars; and 0.9% owned three cars or more, compared with 46.1%; 14.4% and 3.4% respectively for the City of Adelaide.
