Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Mount Austin in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (268 people or 18.2%)
  • Retail Trade (173 people or 11.7%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (150 people or 10.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 591 people in total or 40.1% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Glenfield Park employed 21.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.7% in Retail Trade; and 8.3% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Mount Austin and Glenfield Park were:
