Dominant groups
Analysis of the Korean speaking population in the City of Ryde in 2021 compared to North Sydney Council area shows that there was a higher proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) and a similar proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 15.3% of the Korean speaking population was aged between 0 and 14, and 9.6% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 14.8% and 9.4% respectively for North Sydney Council area.
The major differences between the age groups of the Korean speaking population in the City of Ryde and North Sydney Council area were:
- A larger percentage of people aged 20 to 24 (5.9% compared to 3.5%)
- A smaller percentage of people aged 35 to 39 (11.1% compared to 14.8%)
- A smaller percentage of people aged 25 to 29 (9.4% compared to 12.0%)
- A smaller percentage of people aged 45 to 49 (7.5% compared to 10.2%)

From 2016 to 2021, City of Ryde's Korean speaking population increased by 371 people (6.8%). This represents an average annual population change of 1.33% per year over the period.
The largest changes in the age groups of the Korean speaking population in this area between 2016 and 2021 were in the age groups:
- 20 to 24 (-152 persons)
- 40 to 44 (+99 persons)
- 60 to 64 (+81 persons)
- 45 to 49 (+80 persons)
